Sidney Lanier Chance (his mother
was an American literature major) is a big guy,
six-six and 230 pounds, who knows how to throw his
weight around. He has a soft spot for people who've
been wronged, and putting things right is his main
motivation.
A lover of the outdoors, Sid
spent eighteen years as a National Park ranger
before shots fired by a drug runner put him out of
business. He took a job as a small town police chief
and harbored thoughts of retiring there until
trumped-up charges of bribery forced him out.
Now he's a PI in Nashville and
doesn't mind taking on tough cases, assisted by a
unique part-time sidekick, wealthy businesswoman
Jasmine LeMieux.
